LAPhil Board Chairman David Bohnett on Transferring El Sistema to Los Angeles

As Gustavo Dudamel’s arrival is being heralded, the youth-oriented program that nurtured his musicality, El Sistema, is in the process of being duplicated in Los Angeles. Concert-goers at last Saturday’s Hollywood Bowl ¡Bienvenido Gustavo! concert heard a little of this fledgeling program: The Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles- YOLA.
